Our videos not only build excitement and curiosity, they also introduce vocabulary and key ideas your students will encounter in what they read.

Our quizzes come on two levels and are modeled on the selected- and constructed-response questions your students will encounter on high-stakes tests. 

The Vocabulary Slideshows contain student-friendly definitions of challenging words found in Scope articles and stories. Example sentences and photos or videos are also included. Each word and definition can also be heard pronounced aloud.

Audio read-alouds of vocabulary and articles and stories are a powerful tool to model fluency and expression and build listening-comprehension skills.

Many of our activities come on two levels. The higher level will have little to no scaffolding. The lower level includes scaffolds such as sentence starters and partially completed graphic organizers.

As of this year, we offer a Spanish-language version of our narrative nonfiction in every issue, which comes with a Spanish-language read-aloud. Have your Spanish speakers read the Spanish version of article the day before reading the English-language version in your class. You can also share the article with your Spanish-speaking parents to engage them in their child’s learning.
